Heat-insulating mixture for hot metal ladles

Suitable for insulating the hot metal surface during the transportation and holding of hot metal ladles. The mixture has a high degree of flowability. Thanks to its chemical composition, it helps reduce skull build-up in hot metal ladles. The mixture contains no toxic elements and, while on the metal surface, does not release toxic gases, so it does not pollute the environment and does not affect the level of gas contamination in the blast furnace and mixer shops.

A starter mixture based on chromite sand (RSA). It is used to fill the tap holes of the slide gates of steel ladles and tundishes to ensure a self-opening start of casting. The rate of self-opening of the slide gate when using our mixtures is 98%.

Used to protect the metal in the mould of a continuous casting machine (CCM). The mixtures are produced by mechanical blending and granulation of pre-prepared components with stable characteristics, with the addition of various fluxes. The mixtures ensure stable properties of the protective layer and trouble-free operation of CCM equipment, make it possible to reduce the withdrawal oscillation forces on slab CCMs and to reduce the number of surface defects, which contributes to a higher yield of continuously cast billets and rolled products.

Field of application: recommended for all steel grades. It is fed manually in polypropylene bags.

Heat-insulating mixture for the steel ladle

The product is intended for insulating the metal surface in the steel ladle. The product makes it possible to cover the metal surface and limit the access of oxygen to it, providing protection against sharp temperature fluctuations by reducing convective heat exchange. Field of application: recommended for all steel grades. It is fed manually in polypropylene bags or by crane in big bags. The advantage of this material is the mixture consumption — 0.32 kg per tonne of steel (4–5 times less than in similar products of Ukrainian manufacturers), as well as its high spreading capacity.
