Serves to close the eccentric bottom tapping channel of the electric arc furnace and promotes the self-opening flow of metal during tapping, without oxygen lancing.

The mixtures are produced by mechanical blending and granulation of pre-prepared components with stable characteristics, with the addition of various fluxes. The mixtures ensure stable properties of the protective layer and trouble-free operation of CCM equipment, make it possible to reduce the withdrawal oscillation forces on slab CCMs and to reduce the number of surface defects, which contributes to a higher yield of continuously cast billets and rolled products.

The advantage of this material is the mixture consumption — 0.32 kg per tonne of steel (4–5 times less than in similar products of Ukrainian manufacturers), as well as its high spreading capacity.
